Our Story

We may be a bit... persnickety and you're going to love it.

So, who the heck are we?

If you've ever tried to DIY your own brand or website, you'll know how it can sometimes come out looking a little "off." You can tell something is not quite right, but you can't put your finger on it. You may have even adjusted your logo and fonts and color palette more times than you'd like to admit.

The good news is that you're not alone... and that is not your job! You already have a business in an industry you specialize in and there is no reason you need to learn everything related to brand and website strategy, design, and implementation.

When you work with pixel-perfect particular people like us, you know you're getting more than just a beautiful design -- you're receiving a brand and website that were intentionally created for your growth and longevity and legacy in mind.

You can trust us at Buoyant Design Studio to deliver the finest quality work.

She'll take one of everything, Crate and Barrel.

Shopping Spree hopeful

Emilie is a visual artist, so it only seems natural that she finds quick inspiration from her favorite home and garden tv shows. But, you just can't beat going to a museum and witnessing magic up close.

best inspiration ever

Emilie once skied down a gorgeous slope in the Japanese alps with individually-wrapped donuts stuffed in her bungeed coat... without falling! This skill will never be useful again.

underused talent

Okay, maybe this is less dramatic than you might expect, but Emilie hopes to someday design and build her own house near the ocean. Oh, and own several rental properties all over the world.

in her wildest dreams

There is nothing that beats a homemade cinnamon vanilla latte served piping hot in a clear glass mug. But when traveling, Emilie loves to find and support local coffee shops. One gigantic flavored latte, a fresh croissant, and a bag of beans to go, s’il vous plaît. Sincerely, Emilie with an IE.

Emilie's go-to coffee order

Emilie is unofficially accepting donations for her travel fund to visit the Mediterranean from Portugal to Greece, Paris (again and again), and Scandinavia in the summertime. She'd also be happy to return to Japan for a sixth time to fill up on ramen and warm hugs.
